I selected this photo because of the pattern and texture of the plant. Compositionally, there is great contrast because of the differences between the colors of the foreground and background. Also there is shallow depth of field shown by the pink focused foreground and the unfocused background. To take this photo I had the camera set on 1/125 (shutter speed) and f/4 (aperture/depth of field).
Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the texture on the plant. There is also a goof point of view shown. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the levels to make the picture brighter. The camera was set to a 1/125 shutter speed. This photo communicates/reminds me of/ makes me think of nature.
I selected this photo because it looks cool. Compositionally, there is color because of the Christmas lights. Also there is pattern shown by the lines of color that the lights leave behind. To take this photo I had the camera set on 8 seconds (shutter speed) and f/22 (aperture/depth of field).
This photo was taken for the Kaleidoscope assignment. What I like about this photo is the color.My point of view was right in front of the light stick. The photo follows the rule of thirds because the focus of the photo is not in the center of the image. The image has a large depth of field. The ISO was set to 800 and the White Balance was on auto.
