What is the distance in the shot? (How close or far away are you from your subject?) For most of my photos i was only a few feet away from the subjects of the images to help show the textures of the photo. What was your point of view when you took the photos? (from above, below, straight on...)Are your photographs horizontal or vertical? I was mostly in a straight on view for most of my photos, my third photo in the gallery was taken from below. All of my photos in the gallery are vertical. Did you consider the rule of thirds to compose your shots? In which photos? Describe. I considered the rule of thirds in my photos. The part of the photo that catches the eye is not directly in the center of the photo. In my sixth photo of my gallery the lines of the photo are on the right which attracts the eye down the side of the photo. Which one of of your photos is a dynamic composition that successfully leads the viewer’s eye through the work? I believe that the third photo in my gallery is the most dynamic. The lines on the side of the ship help the eye flow through the whole photo.
Texture and Pattern
What is the distance in the shot? All of the photos i took are all very close to the objects in the pictures. They are all within a few feet. What was your point of view when you took the photos? Most of the photos i took were either from above or bellow of the subjects in the photos, a couple were shot straight on. Does this photo follow the rule of thirds? Why or why not? The sixth photo I took follows the rule of thirds. The separating line between the bricks that draws attention of the eye is not in the center of the photo. Is this photo an example of pattern, texture and/or rhythm? The second photo I took shows texture and pattern. It shows the pattern of the screen on the window but also shows the texture of the praying mantis. Is your photo horizontal or vertical? All of the photos I took with the cameras were shot horizontally.
